ABB REF630 Module by ABB

The ABB REF630 module is a comprehensive feeder protection and control intelligent electronic device (IED) for medium-voltage distribution networks. Part of ABB’s Relion 630 series, it safeguards overhead lines and underground cable feeders in utility and industrial substations, combining fast, selective protection with flexible bay control and seamless SCADA integration.

Key capabilities:

Protection: non-directional and directional overcurrent and earth-fault, negative-sequence and thermal overload, breaker failure, autoreclose, synch-check, and voltage and frequency protection.
Control and automation: integrated bay control with interlocking, programmable logic, local/remote switching, and a front-panel HMI that supports a single-line mimic.
